Meet dani christie
grounded teacher, soulful human, and lifelong student of yoga
A modern approach to ancient wisdom
helping you find calm, clarity, and connection.
What began as movement became something deeper: a way of coming home to myself.
Over the past decade, I’ve taught yoga across Australia and internationally - from local studios to Bali retreats - guiding hundreds of students back to their body, their breath, and their truth.
For several years, I poured my heart into running my own yoga studio in Sydney - a space that grew into a warm, thriving community. When the world shifted in 2020, so did my path. That season reminded me that yoga isn’t confined to a studio - it’s a living, breathing practice that moves with us through every chapter of life.
Now based in Melbourne, I’m building a new community rooted in that same philosophy - where yoga becomes a tool to reconnect, recalibrate, and remember who you truly are.
My own journey of healing led me to this path early in life. Through yoga, I found an empowered, inspired, and grounded way of living - one that continues to unfold with each inhale and exhale.
It is my greatest gift to share this way of living with others.
I came to yoga the same way many people do, looking for calm in the chaos.
My teaching blends the wisdom of traditional yoga and Ayurveda with a modern understanding of the body and nervous system.
It’s not about perfect poses or chasing flexibility - it’s about awareness, presence, and remembering that you already hold everything you need within you.
Trained in Bali and shaped by over a decade of guiding students, my philosophy is simple: yoga is a way of living, not performing. It’s the space between breaths, the gentle return to self, and the art of meeting life - exactly as it is.
At the heart of my teaching is the belief that yoga should feel like therapy for your whole being: strengthening, soothing, and deeply restorative.
My Philosophy
Every session is tailored to you - your energy, your experience, your life. Some days that means movement and heat; other days, stillness and surrender.
I draw from Vinyasa, Hatha, Flow, Yin, and Restorative yoga, Zen Thai Shiatsu and Meditation weaving them intuitively to meet you where you are and support you from the inside out. Together, we create a unique practice just for you that brings you back to balance - body, mind, and spirit.
For me, I honour the practice as a moving meditation - a conversation between breath and body.
With each inhale, we expand and lift. With each exhale, we soften and deepen.
And in that rhythm, you find the quiet strength of coming home to yourself.
My approach to teaching and leading
My approach blends traditional yoga philosophy with modern embodiment. I believe yoga isn’t about perfect poses - it’s about coming home to yourself.
My classes are known for their balance of strength and surrender, structure and softness. Expect grounding energy, intelligent sequencing, and moments of stillness that invite you to reconnect with what matters most.
